Shayda Heath, LCSW

Shayda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in a clinical setting for the past 4 years.  She has specialized in higher levels of care such as PHP/IOP programs, crisis management, as well as Residential care focusing on addiction. Shayda works with dual-diagnosis, trauma, addiction, and a diverse range of mental health challenges.  She has supported adolescents, adults, families, and couples who find themselves in challenging life experiences and struggles.  She has learned that every individual has unique therapeutic needs and because of this strives to create an environment where patients’ can find their own inner strength and resilience in a setting that is filled with safety and compassion. 

            Shayda believes in a collaborative approach focusing on patient’s strengths and values and has been trained in DBT and motivational interviewing. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas-Arlington and received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in psychology and women’s studies from University of Texas- El Paso. 

In her free time Shayda has a passion for hiking, spending time with her family, cooking, watching movies, and completing word searches.  She is married to her husband, Nathan, of 17 years and has two teenagers: Lillian 16 and Greyson 15. Her family also includes their diva-cat, Duchess.
